Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU's proximity to New York City and Philadelphia provides convenient access to internships, careers and social activities.
Just minutes from campus are the country's largest water parks, scenic Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail, and other opportunities for recreational fun.
As the Employment Coordinator, you will need to think creatively and be comfortable creating a dynamic candidate experience.
You will be an active member of the HR team and will work closely with the Director to help ESU students, faculty, and staff through their onboarding/hiring journey.
You will thrive in this role if you like combining your recruiting experience and communication skills while coordinating employment actions/activities.
To be successful in this role, you must be organized, detail-oriented and an engaging public speaker.
Your normal hours will be Monday to Friday 8 am - 4:
30 pm, but you may have to flex your schedule from time to time based on the needs of the business to be a true Employment Coordinator.
This position will require 5% travel to local job fairs.

aspx?site=1&c=esu&id=6532&source=Indeed What Will I Do At ESU? (AKA Essential Duties) Complete all student hiring, including posting positions to job boards/websites, onboarding students, and ensuring all requirements are met, such as I9 verification.
Complete all background checks for faculty, staff, and students.
Enter and track all position authorization requests (PAF) into the recruitment portal for all faculty, staff, and student positions.
This includes ensuring all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
Onboard new employees, both faculty and staff through the ATS in partnership with the HR Generalist to ensure a successful new hire experience.
Draft all employment contracts for faculty and staff positions.
Co-organizer and presenter for new staff orientation program.
Employ passive recruitment techniques for diverse candidate pools.
Facilitate training for students and supervisors on using the etime system.
Maintain the online database for all student employment files and documents.
Reply to general human resources related questions through email, phone, and walk-in communications.
Become the SME of ATLAS, the ATI at ESU; generate reports as required.
Serve as backup to the HR Assistant.
Perform other duties as assigned, including general customer service for walk-ins and calls.
What We're Looking For (AKA Qualifications) Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Min of 1 year of experience in recruiting with exposure to passive recruitment strategies.
Extended visual attention needed to prepare reporting, correspondence, and computer work (detail & accuracy orientation).
Excellent presentation skills, including verbal and written communication skills.
Personable; demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative team relationships built on trust.
Reliable, dependable; strong deadline orientation.
Proactive, able to plan cyclical work.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.
Open to coaching.
Experience working in a unionized environment a plus.
Previous experience with ATIs helpful but not required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
